Brian J. Lindgren is a Program Manager for the Information Technology Group of Engility Corporation, a platinum member of CDCA. Brian was elected to the CDCA board of directors in 2012, after having served three terms as President of the AFCEA South Carolina Lowcountry chapter. He is currently Chairman of the CDCA’s Small Business Committee, which coordinates the quarterly SBIOI symposia. As a result of that assignment, he was asked to participate in the SPAWAR Working Group to re-evaluate the management of Multiple Award Contracts (MACs). Brian has also supported the Ways, Means, and Rules Committee, the Education Committee, and the Membership Committee. Prior to joining the CDCA Board Brian had actively participated in CDCA activities (writer and former committee member for CDCA Communicator, presentations at two SBIOIs, planning and exhibitor roles for the C4ISR/C5ISR Government & Industry symposia), and has always been with corporate and platinum CDCA member companies at all size levels (Large: Engility/L-3, Booz Allen, Lockheed Martin; Medium: SRC; Small: WareOnEarth, Imagine One, ICS). Two of these companies (WareOnEarth and Imagine One) graduated from small business status while Brian was there, so Brian connects to the issues that affect contracting firms of different sizes. Brian has been a long-time advocate of contractors in the Charleston community. “I have always been involved with volunteer community and civic organizations,” he said. “I seek re-election on the CDCA board to continue serving the Charleston contractor community. I believe I can leverage my experience in Charleston (resident for 22 years, SPAWAR contractor for 16 years) for optimal results, particularly as CDCA increases its collaborative efforts with our partner organizations such as AFCEA, WID, GCGCA, and TASC.”
