The competition is open to middle school, high school, and full-time college students. The Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA), a nonprofit focused on the preservation and growth of the defense and technology related industries in the Charleston and Lowcountry regions, is now accepting submissions for its 7th Annual Student Mobile App Competition.  The contest is open to middle school to college students throughout the Southeast. A recent economic report from Darla Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina (USC) revealed that Charleston is one of the leading defense and technology hubs in the U.S., contributing $10.6 billion to the overall $24.1 billion annual economic impact for South Carolina.
