Sentar's key competencies are: 1)technology-innovating advances in information and knowledge exchange with an emphasis on decision support systems applied to cyber security infrastructures; 2)software-leveraging virtually any language or technology (visual c++, c#, visual basic, vba, .net, java, ada, python, ruby, rails, sharepoint, html, dhtml, ajax, active server pages, xml/xslt) to build security into systems from their inception onwards, and fielding mission critical systems with extensive experience focused in c2bm; 3)information security-securing systems by providing the subject matter expertise and thought leadership for all aspects of information systems security.
sentar has been in business since 1990 and has supported the army, spawar, air force, navy, darpa, nasa, mda, osd, and various commercial clients. sentar's technology solutions group has provided leading edge developments in information and knowledge exchange and management-applied extensively to cyber security and decision support domains resulting in cyber defense capabilities being fielded into programs of record. our software solutions segment provides full spectrum lifecycle services from requirements development to fielding systems with extensive experience in decision support systems and c2bm-our software developers have developed mission critical systems such as the national missile defense payload launch vehicle (plv) ground support software and integrated system test capability, and the engagement planner for missile defense. sentar's information security solutions unit employs a full life-cycle approach to information systems security and assurance. we provide expertise in regulatory based (diacap and nist) planning and implementation, including program protection planning, systems security engineering, anti-tamper planning and implementation, cyber threat analysis, certification and accreditation (c&a), risk management approaches and frameworks, and operational maintenance of the ia security posture.
from our experience, Sentar has gained an intimate knowledge of the cyber security challenges faced by the dod and the nation. Sentar has demonstrated both thought and technology leadership on behalf of its customers by developing both governance documents (policies, conops, agency-wide processes, and methodologies), and cyber defense technologies to address a full-spectrum approach to critical security challenges in cyberspace. our thought leadership was recently underscored by our participation in president Obama's 60-day, comprehensive, "clean-slate" review to assess u.s. policies and structures for cyber security and our participation in the white house cyber security jobs of the future meeting.
