Chris Cannavaro

Chris Cannavaro serves as the Business Development lead in Charleston, SC for KAIROS, Inc, a woman-owned small business.  Chris has worked in the Defense sector for 30 years supporting U.S. Navy and Marine Corps clients both nationally and abroad.  Prior to joining KAIROS, Chris was a Principal/Director at Booz Allen Hamilton where he led their Fleet Marine Corps business including contracts with 1st and 2nd Marine Expeditionary Forces, Marine Forces Command, and Marine Corps Forces Europe/Africa.  Prior to that, Chris led Booz Allen’s Program Management services in Charleston, SC where he was also the Program Manager for several contracts and task orders with NIWC LANT.  Prior to that, he led Booz Allen’s Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps business in the national capital region.  Prior to joining industry, Chris served as a Marine Corps Aviation Supply Officer with the 2nd Marine Air Wing as well as a Recruiting Officer with the 6th Marine Corps District.  Chris graduated from The Citadel in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. 

From 2000-2007, Chris was active with AFCEA, serving as the AFCEA Northern Virgina Chapter Young AFCEAN President (committee chair) where he was recognized as both a Distinguished Young AFCEAN and an AFCEA Emerging Leader.  Since 2008, Chris has supported CDCA events locally in Charleston.  More recently, he volunteered on the CDCA Membership and Partnership committee prior to being elected to the CDCA Board of Directors for the first time in January 2024.
