Intern Sponsorship Stipend Program

Becoming a CDCA Intern Sponsor is simple!
There are three steps:

Step 1 | Platinum or Corporate member company submits a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the CDCA Education & Workforce Development Committee by 31 Jan 2024; this enables CDCA to bring awareness of the positions to colleges and universities, where possible. Potential interns will follow up with member companies to apply for the internship being offered. Additionally, LOIs are posted (here) to direct students to available positions from our members.

Step 2 | Once member company has selected an intern, member companies submit an Internship Application to CDCA Education & Workforce Development Committee to formally apply for participation in the CDCA Intern Sponsorship Program by 1 Mar 2024.

Step 3 | CDCA selects the member companies to receive the stipend by 11 Mar 2024. Stipends are distributed based upon program participation.

Please review the Internship Program Details, submit your Letter of Intent and apply once you have selected an intern!

Jimi Elderman, former CDCA Board of Director and our 1st intern, describes the importance of his internship.

One of the benefits of being a CDCA member is the Intern Sponsorship Stipend Program that we offer every summer to our member companies. CDCA offsets the cost of the intern for the members that submit an application and qualify. In 2020 the CDCA Education & Workforce Development Committee and Board agreed to add a scholarship that would go directly to the intern.

Jack DuPre Moore left this earth in 2019 and joined God in heaven. Jack, a retired Master Chief, served over 20 years with the Navy followed by a career in business. He was an active member of the CDCA from 2005-2014 including serving as President and Vice President for eight of those years. Jack was a mentor and friend to many of us and had a passion for STEM education. He supported the Palmetto Scholars Academy, Palmetto Partners, STEM Collaborative, and Robotics competitions.

We are eternally grateful for Jack’s mentorship, direction, guidance and passion for education. The CDCA Board of Directors agreed to name the $1,000 Scholarship in his honor. Jack, may you Rest In Peace.
